Judging the size of her workspace too restricted and her pantry too small to be truly useful, Mélanie undertook to modernize her kitchen and improve its functionality by calling on our services.
To do this, the pantry was demolished to create a much more spacious workspace area. In order to make the most of this new space, Mélanie used our
Online Configurator to order two fully customized worktops according to her needs.
1. Left sink worktop
This is an assembly of 2 solid wood panels in an L shape (long panel: 192 x 64 / short panel: 44.5 x 66) taking the position of the initial worktop while extending it to the sink.
2. Right sink worktop
This is also an assembly of 2 L-shaped panels but with much larger dimensions (long panel: 223 x 119 / short panel: 25 x 65) to form an island accommodating the cooking hobs and a bar counter. To ensure a smooth transition between the kitchen and the dining area, our client had the good idea of adding a rounded cutout at the corner of the island. Note that the cutout inside the worktop to insert the cooking hobs was also made in our workshop.
All custom worktops in this kitchen are made of premium quality solid beech with a thickness of 2.6 cm. All upper edges of the visible edges have been slightly rounded (C2-1 shape) for more comfort, in accordance with Mélanie's request.
