Since its creation, ILICUT has multiplied initiatives in favor of more sustainable and environmentally friendly development.
Bio-based materials
Wood is a real asset in the fight against global warming: trees capture CO2 from the atmosphere, and once cut, wood stores that CO2. Furnishing your interior with wood therefore contributes to protecting the environment.
Certifications
In order to guarantee quality products from responsibly managed forests, our chain of custody is FSC® certified (FSC-C107727) and PEFC (PEFC/10-31-2383) since 2011. Nearly 70 product references sold on our site carry one or the other label.
Reforestation
Since 2020, we have supported the organization Reforest’Action, which replants and restores endangered forests. We have thus planted nearly 6,000 trees in French forests with the participation of our customers. A commitment that allows us to take more concrete action toward reducing CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.
Resource optimization
We make every effort to optimize our material to avoid waste: all offcuts from cut panels are digitized and returned to stock to be reused in other projects
Waste recovery
All our unusable wood offcuts and waste are delivered to a Wood Energy platform, which transforms them into pellets, granules, or wood chips. All our raw materials are thus recovered and recycled.
Custom packaging
We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint throughout our production chain: your products are packaged in 100% recyclable packaging cut to size to reduce waste and ensure optimal protection.
Low-impact construction
Our 6,000 m² production site was built in 2023 with the goal of reducing energy consumption:
- Optimal insulation standards
- Installation of LED lighting throughout the building
- Dust extraction using a hot air recycling duct
