Want to make your own custom-made solid wood coffee table ? Get inspired by Fabrice's creation entirely made from custom cut birch panels. To make a coffee table like Fabrice's, you will need 2 solid wood tops cut to the dimensions of your choice (provide a greater thickness for the top plate) as well as 4 ends of panels whose width is equal to the thickness (4cm in our case) as table legs. Find the exact dimensions of all the wooden parts of this coffee table under the image in the "Cutting list" tab.
The first manufacturing step is to cut a square with a jigsaw equivalent to the dimensions of your feet in each corner of the lower shelf. If you do not have the necessary equipment, know that we can perform this type of cutting in the factory by sending us a detailed plan of your needs at contact@ilicut.com.
Once in possession of all your parts with the right dimensions sand them with a medium grain (100 or 120) and a fine grain (180 or 240). Then apply a finishing product for solid wood ( oil, varnish, etc.) on each side and repeatedly to ensure optimal protection for your future furniture. Once the pieces are dry, the assembly of the furniture will be able to begin.
If Fabrice opted for screwing using double-thread screws, assembly by journals can also be envisaged at condition of having a sufficient top thickness.
Finally, fit the lower birch top up to the desired height (20cm from the ground in this example) then fix it using brackets installed on the feet. And there you have it, your custom solid wood coffee table is finished!
