Custom Oak Claustra: Everything You Need to Know
Oak is an ideal choice for your claustra. This solid, noble, and durable wood adds a natural touch and timeless elegance. Its distinctive grain and warm color blend with all interior styles.
Our claustras are made with straight battens measuring 40 mm wide and 60 mm deep, spaced approximately 60 mm apart. The battens are invisibly attached to flush top and bottom rails. For optimal comfort, the edges are rounded.
To facilitate transport and installation, claustras over 120 cm wide are delivered in several equal parts. For example, a 3-meter-wide claustra will be delivered in three 1-meter sections. Assembly is quick and easy thanks to the machining and hardware provided (screws, brackets, nuts).
How to order your custom claustra?
- Measure the height of your claustra
Measure the height in several places and note the smallest value. For floor-to-ceiling installation, subtract 1 cm. This centimeter matches the minimum height of the adjustment pads provided, which allow precise leveling of your claustra.
For other configurations (horizontal, half-partition, etc.), simply enter the exact dimensions.

- width corresponds to the claustra width.

Installation and care tips
Depending on the surface, you can glue or screw the top rail. Adhesive, screws, and wall plugs are not included.
To preserve the beauty of your solid oak claustra, we recommend applying a finishing product, such as oil or varnish. You can select the Blanchon oil finish option, applied directly in our workshop. Your claustra will be protected and ready to install upon delivery.
