Mathilde wanted to create a setup that was both practical and stylish, perfect for diving into work while still enjoying the living room.
The couple, who love DIY, imagined a custom-made piece of furniture designed as a true storage space.
In this bookcase featuring an integrated desk, every nook and cranny has been optimized, without sacrificing the room’s overall aesthetics.
A custom order for a unique creation
To bring this project to life, Mathilde ordered solid beech panels and red Valchromat panels from ilicut, creating a trendy contrast between the natural warmth of the wood and the bold pop of red.
The desk top, made of solid beech, rests on 71 cm hairpin legs. In this way, the desk seamlessly fits into the bookcase structure and the dedicated space, while offering optimal stability and working comfort.
A contemporary and inviting style
The beauty of solid beech blends harmoniously with red Valchromat, creating a combination that exudes modernity and warmth. Clean lines draw inspiration from a Scandinavian style, while the red adds a more graphic and dynamic touch. A few decorative objects and some greenery perfect the ambiance.
