Overcoming the limits of a small studio
Louise (@lou.lou.diy) lives in a small studio apartment in Paris. Furnishing her place exactly the way she wants can be tricky with the standard furniture you find in big-box stores.
Her need? To have a creative space that could house all her sewing supplies without taking up too much room in her bedroom. So, she came up with a custom corner desk with matching shelves.
An optimized space thanks to custom wood
For this project, Louise chose a Premium solid rubberwood (Hevea) desktop measuring 93 x 85 x 3 cm, finished with Natural Oil. Thanks to our online Configurator, she was able to customize the shape of the desktop to fit her space and needs. In fact, the angled cut eliminates the need for a leg that would have gotten in the way of moving freely around the room.
She also strategically placed her 55 x 15 x 1.8 cm shelves: her spools and other essential tools are within easy reach!
A warm and inspiring atmosphere

A truly cozy ambiance emanates from her sewing corner, ideally located next to the window to fully enjoy natural light.
