After already collaborating on the fit-out of Céramicafé Geneviève in Paris’s 3rd and 17th arrondissements, Ilicut was once again commissioned to produce custom solid-ash tabletops. A layout designed to give visitors a space where creativity and conviviality can fully flourish.
Why is ash the ideal choice for the café’s identity?
Solid ash stands out for its bright, refined appearance, making it a highly sought-after material in contemporary interiors. Its grain and figure add a touch of natural elegance without weighing down the space. That’s exactly what appealed to Céramicafé Geneviève, which wanted to reinforce the friendly, innovative atmosphere of its venues. This wood, valued for its strength and durability, perfectly meets the demands of a high-traffic place like a café. Solid-ash tabletops not only withstand daily use but also retain their beauty over time.
The choice of ash also aligns with the artistic direction by Atelier Germain, the design studio in charge of the café’s decor. They created a warm, welcoming space where guests feel inspired. With its soft shades from light beige to golden blond, ash enhances volumes and plays with natural light, accentuating the venue’s calming, creative identity.
Bespoke solutions for professionals
At Ilicut, every tabletop is made to measure to meet the specific needs of hospitality and food-service professionals. Dimensions, shape, finishes: everything is customizable to ensure a unique result. Ash, like other available species, makes it possible to create tables that are both durable and elegant—perfectly suited to intensive use.
We warmly thank Céramicafé Geneviève for their renewed trust. To experience this project in real life, feel free to visit any of their three Paris cafés and enjoy a coffee on these beautiful custom solid-wood tables.
